What to expect from the Gregory Law Office?

I am an experienced trial lawyer who gets results for my clients using my knowledge of the law, my experience in the court system, my reputation and my hard work. Let me put my experience and reputation in the area of criminal defense to work for you!

Knowledgeable:
I have been handling criminal cases for over 20 years. I have earned a reputation in the field of criminal defense for being knowledgeable about the law, prepared for each case, and having personal and professional integrity.

Skilled:
As an attorney at Associated Counsel for the Accused (ACA) I trained and supervised lawyers this included covering cases for attorneys during their absences. As soon as I announced I was leaving to open my own law firm, I was asked to serve on the Board of Directors at ACA. I served on the Board of ACA from 2003 until 2008, when I stepped off to be a judge pro tempore in Seattle Municipal Court. Currently, as a solo-practitioner, I am regularly consulted by other attorneys to provide case analysis and guidance. I also mentor attorneys who are new to the field of criminal defense. In 2006, I was among a handful of King County attorneys receiving a Mentor of the Year award from the King County Bar Association’s Young Lawyer’s division.

Assertive:
When you hire me, you get a hard-working, ethical attorney who will put his knowledge, experience, and reputation to work for you. My role is to know the law governing your case, protect your rights, and advocate for you.

Truthful assessment of your case:
You don’t need false guarantees. You need to know what you will be facing once you are accused of a crime, charged, or being investigated. Your civil liberties and constitutional rights are my primary concerns throughout our client-attorney relationship. I take the loss of your liberty very seriously. You deserve an honest assessment of your case and the possible scenarios you might face. Your case has a unique set of facts upon which other people (judges or juries) will make a decision.

Realistic goal setting:
I always ask clients what their goals are. What outcome do you want regarding your case? Together we will go over the charges that may be leveled against you, what options are available to you, and decide what is in your best interest as we fight to protect your rights and come up with a realistic plan for your case.

Preparation of your defense:
I have over 20 years of experience, throughout which I have tried over 100 cases before a jury of Washington state citizens. You can have peace of mind in knowing that I will research the laws applicable to your case and prepare the best defense possible. I will prepare you for what to expect in the court system--everything from understanding the charges against you, preparing for witness interviews and possible consequences/outcomes. (If needed, I will get an investigator to help with witness interviews and fact-finding.)

Understanding of the law:
Laws governing criminal cases can be complex and confusing. I know that your liberty, career and reputation can be at stake. As such, I take every case serious. I research each case looking for changes in the law.

Compassionate attention:
Being arrested and sent to jail can be scary and doesn’t always happen during business hours. I believe it is important to have an advocate early in the process. To accomplish this, I have met clients when they are first sent to jail. If you are arrested, you need someone to help protect your rights immediately.
